Add a full work

The whole work can live here on the site. Type it, paste it, or import a PDF or Word file and it comes across word for word, pictures included. There is no length limit — a whole book is fine. Credit the people behind it and say where it was first published. Every addition passes an automatic review against the house rules before it appears; if something needs changing you will get a note saying exactly what.

Before you add the full text

Users may submit Full Works only when they have the right to make them available on Synopses. Publicly accessible does not automatically mean freely redistributable. If you do not hold that right — the work is still in copyright, or it is sold — tick Add external link to work instead further down and give a link to it.

The full-work editor switches off and you give a link instead: the publisher's page, a journal page, a shop, or even a search that finds a physical copy. Moderators check the work and the link themselves before it appears.
